02 / Story Los Angeles · Est 2026

A return, not an invention. The plant figured this out five thousand years ago — and the plant was right.

Somewhere between polyester and compression gear, athletics decided plastic was better. Lighter. Sweatier. More performance. A generation grew up sliding in shampoo-bottle fabric and nobody asked why.

We took the material athletes wore for a century, gave it a waistband that doesn't quit, reinforced it where you hit the dirt, and stripped out everything that isn't cotton.

Made in Los Angeles. Limited first run. From the field, nothing else.

03 / Specs

Engineered cotton.

01 F-LSC · 100% Long-Staple Organic Cotton

Higher tensile strength than commodity cotton. Single-mill source from the San Joaquin Valley.

02 SLD-2X · 14 oz Double-Layer Slide Patch

Abrasion-reinforced contact zones at the hip and outer thigh. Triple-needle stitched.

03 CB-W · No Elastic Compression-Bonded Waistband

Mechanical hold instead of synthetic elastic. No roll, no melt, no microplastic.

04 EOL · Compostable Take-Back Program

Send the pair back when it's done. We compost it and credit the next.

Field Notes · From Athletes

Tester quotes.

"First slide in the dirt and I knew. These don't melt, don't ride up, don't shed plastic. Cotton was always the answer — Kotta just remembered."

Marcus L. · 2B · Long Beach

"I've worn every brand. The waistband on these is unreal — no roll, no sag, no synthetic itch. The clay red bleeds in beautifully after a week of dirt."

Jamie R. · SS · Fastpitch

"Took the prototype through fourteen games before they showed any wear. The slide patches do their job. Best part — I'm not playing in a shampoo bottle anymore."

Devon T. · CF · Pasadena

"Field green hides clay stains better than anything I've owned. They breathe like a t-shirt and hold a slide like canvas. That's the whole pitch."

Sam K. · 3B · Burbank
04 / FAQ

Common questions.

What does the $10 deposit cover?+

The deposit reserves your pair from the first production run of 200. It's applied toward the $40 total — the remaining $30 is charged when we ship in March 2026. You'll get production updates as we go.

When will my pair ship?+

March 2026. We're cut and sewn in San Fernando, California. You'll get an email when production starts, when packing starts, and when your tracking number drops.

What's the refund policy?+

Full refund of the deposit if you cancel before we ship. Once shipped, standard 30-day return on unworn product.

What happens after 200 are reserved?+

The line closes. We'd rather sell out than overproduce. The next run won't open until late summer 2026.

Why cotton instead of performance polyester?+

Long-staple cotton breathes harder, sheds zero microplastics, and biodegrades at end of life. Polyester sweats, melts in the dryer, and lives in the ocean for four hundred years.

What sizes do you carry?+

S through XXL. Cut on the athletic side — if you're between sizes, size up. Detailed measurements ship with your pair.
